We just finished a private two day tour with Eren in Istanbul and it was fantastic!! In perfect English, he made the city come alive for us. He not only showed us all the key sites from the Hagia Sofia to a boat cruise on the Bosphorus, but gave us an insider's feel for the city. He knew everyone, everywhere and introduced us to the various Istanbul merchants, which gave it a personal insider's view of life in Istanbul. He is prompt to pick you up in the morning and knows all the right timing for each event. He whisks you in (no waiting in line for anything!) and has additional insider stories for each site (not found in the guide books!). He is full of energy and excitement for Istanbul and the Turkish culture. He was a delight and made our trip truly unique. Vahkti, the driver, was everywhere at the perfect time, in a pristine vehicle, maneuvering the crazy Istanbul traffic like a pro precision driver. Everything with City of the Sultans Tour was top of the line fantastic!

Hi OZGUR ATES,
We had a wonderful time today and the whole group enjoyed it very much. Haluk was excellent in planning the schedule with us and he provided interesting information throughout the day. We bought many lovely things from the Spice Market and we finished 15 minutes early. We appreciated that Haluk took us on a evening walk through the New Mosque courtyard on the way to the van. The evening scene was perfect for many memorable photos. The restaurant and the dinner was very good.
We look forward to another exciting tour with Haluk tomorrow.

Dear Ozgur,
We are back home with wonderful memories of out trip to Istanbul and Cappadocia. Thanks to your company for the professional service and flexibility. We are very grateful for the accomodation upgrade in Cappadocia to the Fresco Cave Suites which was lovely. I must admit that I have better appreciation for the historical sites in istanbul after our guide, Eren Bolek, thoroughly explained adding a bit of humor so as not to bore us. He was also a great shopping companion as he guided us to selected shops that offered better items at bargain prices and waited for us patiently to complete our purchase. From our accomodations, the restaurants we dined in, the vehicle that transported us, the tour sights and ofcourse our knowledgeable and friendly guide-Eren, everything surpassed our expectations. Our guides in Cappadocia- Nila and Mehmet were also knowledgeable, articulate and fun. Will definitely recommend your company to friends looking for new travel destinations.

I am in Istanbul for a conference and had prior to my departure from Malaysia booked with City of Sultans for a half day small group Bosphurus Cruise on Saturday 20th afternoon as well as a full day Byzantine and Ottoman Relics tour on Sunday 21st October. I was delighted when our guide for saturday's Bosphorus and Spice Market tour turned out to be a very experienced guy Eren Bolek. He picked me up from my hotel at Grand Hyatt and I was part of a 7 members group comprising of 2 very nice Filipino ladies, 2 US couples and myself. He outlined the itinerary which meant that we will do the cruise first then spend some time at the Spice Market. During the cruise, Eren was very knowledgeable and explained historical aspects of the landmark buildings on both banks of the Bosphorus. He is such a friendly person and put all of us at ease. Thus our conversations covered not only the essentials of the Bosphorus but many other topics. At the Spice Market, Eren was most helpful to guide us to only a few shops which served our needs rather than getting lost amongst the many repetitive businesses there. One outlet dealt with Turkish Delights using honey instead of sugar, fantastic nuts of various varieties, abundant spices and teas. At another outlet, there were Shatoosh shawls made from the down hair of Chiru or Tibetan antelopes besides others made from silk etc. Eren advised us on a nice way of striking a slight bargain when possible and others which were fixed as the locals would pay the same price. There is no compulsion to buy anything if one did not need. The proprietors of the shops visited were more than happy to show their merchandise even if it did not result in a sale. We will have a different guide for the Sunday's tour and hope will turn out to be as experienced and knowledgeable as Eren.

Aaron provided an insider's view of the city. By the time the the tour was completed, I saw all of Istanbul's major highlights in a short period of time. His personal knowledge of the city helped our group see the most memorable parts of it at the right times to avoid lines. He also gives you the information you need to purchase the right goods from the right vendors and shops to maximize the value of going to the Grand Baazar and the Spice Market.

First off, thank you so much for a wonderful tour so far. It has been really good and we have had a great educational and inspirational time in Istanbul so far. We look forward to coming back here at the end of our tour. We also look forward to the the rest of the tour! We are looking forward to the coast, the boat and Cappadocia. Thanks to Eren Bolek! The 7 of us had a wonderful and information tour today (hardly waited on lines). We had a great time learning about Turkey's history, culture & people. Lunch was fantastic (5*)! Only down side: 1 guest intentional skipped the designated meeting place. We all anixously waited while Eren searched. The ending: we all connected @ the next location & Eren continued professionally!
Xtra bonus: On his own time, he escorted us to a seafood restauarant he recommended; it was excellent food, service, ambience!
